CERTIFICATIONS

1. Will teams be required to provide skill certificates ?
We are not requiring competitors to provide documented proof of different skills required to participate. We do however ask all participants to provide an affidavit (= certify on your honour) concerning his/her ability to swim. However teams must be aware of the risks that participation in this event may entail for them.
2. Are teams required to provide a medical certification?
Each team member must have an official medical certificate, less than 1 year old, attesting his/her aptitude to practice the endurance sports included in the race.

GEAR

1. What type of maps will be provided ?
The maps provided are Google Maps as no other detailed maps are available for this region.
2. Are teams allowed to use a GPS ?
Yes, teams are allowed to use the GPS. GPS is part of the compulsory equipment for each team (see the Rules and Regulations).
3. What is the type of mountain bikes provided by the organisation ?

4. Are we allowed to use our own mountain bikes ?
Yes, you are allowed to use your personal mountain bikes. Please inform us at info@abudhabi-adventure.com
5. What type of sea kayaks are supplied by the organisation ?
The kayaks are from Plasmor, a well known french company, for more information please visit: www.plasmor.fr
The kayaks we provide you are: Belouga 2 with two main sails and one jib:

RACE

1. What quantity of water will be supplied during the race ?
Water will be supplied at each bivouac and at all CP’s on longer sections (desert, sea kayak section…). The exact quantity and locations will be confirmed later once the itinerary is finalized.
